Our year is off to a great start!

The Congressional Roundtable meeting with John Katko was informative and engaging.  His Committee is working on improvements to the travel experience with innovations in the Known Traveler programs, 3D baggage screening, canine training and biometrics.

In February, our split city-specific meetings provided members in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse with updates from their respective visitors' bureaus, as well as the opportunity to network with each other without having to travel too far in the cold and snow.

Putting together quality programming wouldn't be possible without the dedicated efforts of our committees.  But we need help!  If you've ever thought about getting involved, now is the time.  We need people to help plan our premier event, Education Day.

Please drop me a line at president@gbta-upstatenewyork.org, if you'd like to help out with this event, or with any other aspect of the Chapter.

Hope to see you at our next meeting . . . Business Travel Jeopardy on March 8th at Terry Hills in Batavia.  Sounds like fun!

Terri J.B. Moreno, GTP - Chapter President
